When I was in high school, I started keeping a sketchbook. After I had gone through a bunch of them, I started numbering them to keep track. These were all 9 x 12 Strathmore sketchbooks. Then, about five years ago, I wanted to be able to doodle on the go more, so I bought a pocket-size sketchbook. These are great for taking to a coffee shop on my lunch break or just wherever I go. I started numbering these as a second series of sketchbooks.
And then I noticed that I had hit number 28 in both series! Woo! So I obviously go through the mini-sketchbooks a lot faster than the full-size ones, which makes sense.
Here are some selections from both sketchbooks 28:
"Here ya go, kid. Two scoops o' butterscotch. Now scram."
(Alternate caption: "Bill was so depressed, he didn't even notice that his cigarette was melting his ice cream cone. Fluffy felt bad for him")
