Dooly and the Snortsnoot Fan Art

I was psyched to see the great blog Vintage Kids' Books My Kid Loves post about Dooly and the Snortsnoot by Jack Kent today. I still have my own childhood copy of this book. As a wee lad, I was even inspired to draw my own versions of the Snortsnoot throughout the book!

And these are maybe some of the Snortsnoot's friends, or maybe inspired by another great Jack Kent book, There's No Such Thing as a Dragon.

Why do they have all those blank pages in books, anyway? To draw on, right?

Fabulous! That fire-breather in the second image is a childhood Picasso.

This was one of my favorite books when I was little. It was my mother's from her childhood, sadly it was lost in a house fire. Would you consider posting pics of each page so I can share the story with my seven year old brother?
