I do wear a helmet, though. And ear muffs.
Not the greatest comics anthology of all time, but . . . The Greatest of All Time Comics Anthology!
I did the cover, and you can get one from Ninth Art Press.
(What would the greatest comics anthology of all time be? RAW? Comix 2000? Coober Skeber 2?)
In the Brookline Tab!

Come say hello, eat some free cookies, and check out about a dozen of my paintings!
The show will be up throughout November. Flour is right near the Boston Children's Museum, so take a peek if you're in the area.

I made this flyer to help get the word out about my project to more people. I've started putting some up around the Boston area. If anyone wants to help me out by putting up a flyer at a skate shop or park in your local area (or wherever you think would be appropriate), I would really appreciate it! You can download a printable PDF in a variety of sizes:
Tabloid size (11 x 17)
Letter size (8.5 x 11)
Half-letter (2 to a page)
Thanks a lot!

I'm psyched to have my artwork representing the upcoming SCBWI conference in New York! See you there?
This image was originally a going-away card for my friend and fellow artist Dave Kiersh who set off from Boston in search of adventure!
I saw my poster up at Brookline Booksmith last night! Woo!
Download a hi-res poster and print your own!
I am sad to say that I will not be at MICE this year. But you should still go! Bob Flynn will be representing Heeby Jeeby Comix, and I know he would love to see you! He's going to tell me all about it afterwards.
I'm very excited to have won the SCBWI's Don Freeman Grant this year! Many thanks to the judges and the SCBWI. (Official announcement)
Don Freeman was the author-illustrator of Corduroy, Dandelion, Mop Top, Skitzy, and many other wonderful books. You can see some great photos of the man himself and some cool art work on his official web site. |
This is a message to myself (and anyone else who wants to claim it for themselves!), painted on my most recently busted board. Here are some process shots. As always, click to zoom.

Bid on mine here or Bill Watterson's if you've got the dough! Team Cul de Sac is a tribute to cartoonist Richard Thompson and a benefit for Parkinson's research. Richard is definitely my favorite daily cartoonist working today. His lively, imaginative drawings and characters have been an inspiration to me. I hope that he will be able to keep drawing for many years, despite having been diagnosed with Parkinson's. I am honored to be a contributor alongside so many amazing artists. |

Loren created the Monster Works for us, which fed us ideas for our monsters like "ear muffs," "nose hair," and "big knee caps."
Check out Casey Girard's Octo-Pus in Boots sketchbook which I doodled in at the conference, alongside an all-star cast!
